Lynn Redgrave Dead At 67 From Cancer

Great British actress Lynn Redgrave has lost her life after a seven year battle with breast cancer. The actress was the daughter of Sir Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson. Her sister is Vanessa Redgrave and she was the aunt of the late Natasha Richardson.

Redgrave was twice an Oscar nominee, once for GEORGY GIRL and in later years for GODS AND MONSTERS, the story of the colorful life of Universal Films' great horror genre director, James Whale.

With the death of Lynn Redgrave, the legacy of the famous Redgrave family in films is slowly coming to and end. Of all the famous film families, the influence of the Redgrave family was by far the most important in British filmmaking.
