Making PBS More White House Friendly

Kenneth Tomlinson, who is the chairman for the Corporation For Public Broadcasting is supposed to keep PBS free from political pressure to shape it's content. But Republican Party faithful Tomlinson, instead is working to load PBS office up with strict Republican coworkers who plan to reshape PBS news and feature programs into a White House friendly rather than independent operation.

This represents a serious attack on freedom of the press to report freely. It means this publicly funded educational television medium known for very open and honest reports could become just a propaganda tool for the White House. In Russia, Putin has done a similar thing. He has slowly brought more and more control on the free press where now it is merely a propaganda tool for his party and politics. This isn't a good path for either America or Russia.

Instead of a free PBS, it instead could become Fox News II.
