Some Questions Are Raised Whether The Edwards Campaign Is Marketing Sympathy For Cash Donations

On the John Edwards campaign website, there is a spot where a bipartisan number of citizens spent a few moment to offer his wife well wishes or their prayers. But now these well wishers are being solicited for campaign donations.

It might serve the Edwards campaign well to seperate at least this part of the website from their fundraising activity. The public knows of no better place than the Edwards site to contact his wife or the Edwards family with best wishes, so it would really be best for the Edwards campaign to solicit funds from those who use another area of the website and not this area. Many who sign a good wishes note to Mrs. Edwards may not be supporters, but just decent and thoughtful persons, and the Edwards campaign should understand this important fact. It is simply not proper to ask well wishers for campaign donations on this well wishes area.
