Some Really Bad TV Show Are Cancelled After Just One Episode

As bad as a few TV shows may seem, believe it or not, some TV shows air just one time before facing cancellation. There have been a few very notable examples of one showing flops:

YOU'RE IN THE PICTURE: In 1961, popular entertainer Jackie Gleason tried his attempt at a game show that failed after only airing but one episode, so for the remainer of the short run the show was quickly revamped into a talk show called "The Jackie Gleason Show".

THE WILL: CBS aired this simply awful reality show in 2005. that aired but just once in the U.S., and it marks it's most notable reality show failure in any recent year.

WHO'S YOU DADDY?: FOX really hit the skids with this appallingly bad reality show to find out the biological father of some babys. However episodes of MAURY with the same theme have proven popular with viewers. Go figure?

TURN-ON: This 1969 instant flop was a ripoff of the popular LAUGH IN show, but was so offensive in it's humor that major sponsors quickly abadoned the program after just it's first airing, forcing it off the air before a second airing ever saw the light of day.

SOUTH OF SUNSET: Glenn Frey of the rock group, The Eagles, very quickly found himself out of work after just a single week starring as a private detective in this really bad 1993 CBS flopper.

THE RICH LIST: This FOX game show was cancelled after just one airing in 2006, despite following the World Series as a strong ratings lead-in.

PUBLIC MORALS: In 1996, CBS ran into strong opposition among many local affiliates to airing this tough and gritty police drama by Stephen Bochco about a New York City Police vice unit. This very strong affiliate opposition killed this promising police series after just one airing, and only one of the 13 filmed episodes have ever been aired. However, the gritty LAW AND ORDER:SVU has been a decent hit for NBC with similiar tough themes of sexual violence, abuse and crime.

LAWLESS: This was a quick failure for FOX in 1996, starring football great, Brian Bosworth, as a private investigator that the public quickly rejected.

GENESIS: The religious oriented PAX Network hoped this religious themed TV show was just what people of faith wanted to see back in 2000. But it didn't take a prophet to see the "handwriting on the wall" for this Biblical turkey that was thankfully axed after just a single airing.

EMILY's REASONS WHY NOT: Popular movic actress, Heather Graham, simply could not save this single airing comedy failure for ABC back in 2006.

DOT COMEDY: In 2000, ABC simply could not sell the public on watching a show with funny video clips from the Internet. Today millions have made YOUTUBE and other similiar Internet video clip sites a runaway success. Before it's time. maybe?

COMEDIAN UNLEASHED: In 2002, the Animal Planet Channel hoped a stand-up comedy show with animal themed jokes by comics would mean a success. But Comedy Central has always been successful at this genre while other networks have grossly failed.

COED FEVER: This tacky little NATIONAL LAMPOON's ANIMAL HOUSE ripoff aired but just once back in 1979, and thankfully never returned.

But perhaps the worst TV show of all time was a sit com that only aired once on British satellite TV. HEIL HONEY, I'M HOME, was a disgusting comedy that featured Adolph Hitler and girlfriend Eva Braun moving next door to a Jewish family. You can just see the potential for laughs can't you? This disgusting trash comedy was axed after only one airing, and is perhaps the worst TV show ever made, bar none.

Current TV has it's share of turkeys and losers. But none can hardly compare to this list of some of the very worst TV shows ever aired. A few shows are so bad that they were on the schedule but never aired as well, but these listed shows were at least aired once for the public.
