The Best And The Worst Households For Children To Trick Or Treat

Most of my neighbors including some gay households in my neighborhood were very nice households for children to "trick or treat" tonight. But one straight household was particularly terrible. The neighbor went through the effort to decorate the household and make it attractive to children. Yet twice emerged outside smoking, and even took a viscious dog for a walk on the same sidewalks with small children, while it appeared the dog did not like small children at all. All of this endangered the welfare of children.

Nothing more proves the pathetic nature of nicotine addiction, where a chain smoker cannot even stop their addiction for a few minutes around streets filled with small children prone to painful ear infections or development of asthma, upper respiratory infections, or in infants SIDS. It proves just how out of control this nicotine drug addiction is.

Within the last couple years, a large insurance company, WEYCO, owned by Howard Wyers enacted a new corporate policy that only nonsmokers may work for the company and mandatory drug testing for nicotine use were instituted. Current smokers were given a full 15 months to quit their drug addiction and even offered help to do so. Yet some refused to quit and failed the mandatory drug testing and were fired. Their drug addiction was more important to them than having a job.

Smoking is a serious form of drug addiction. Some would rather smoke than have a job if given the choice between the two. And for skidrow bums, smoking, alcohol and drug use are the favorite pastimes of these pathetic persons who usually die within three years on the streets from their addictions, violence, failure to eat enough food, or exposure to the elements.

Nicotine addiction is just as serious as any other major drug addiction. A new medical study from Australia claims smoking causes more brain damage than even alcohol abuse. In addition smoking causes severe injuries to nonsmokers through secondhand smoke. According to the U.S. Surgeon General, smoking is responsible for an asthma epidemic in America. And secondhand cigarette causes midle ear infection and fluid buildup and injury to nonsmokers that may even require ear tube surgery. Secondhand smoke also causes a huge number of emergency room visits by nonsmokers, poisoned by the 4,000 heavy metals and tars contained in cigarette smoke at a substantial cost to health insurers and the taxpayer both. Secondhand smoke even results in a pattern of aggravation of allergies for nonsmokers, turning into asthma then emphysema. Why tobacco company executives should not be held accountable for creating so much human suffering and illness by deliberately creating and marketing a harmful addictive drug. But my personal opinion is that these drug dealers need to be held accountable for their crimes against humanity like all other criminals who prey on the innocent. Lawsuits and laws that blanket criminalize all public smoking, including in automobiles should be instituted by all states and by the federal government.
