Combat Very Fierce In Iraq Today

Combat has been very fierce in Iraq today, further acting as proof that the new security measures are not working and that insurgents have found new ways to adapt to any tightened security measures. In addition two American helicopters were shot at, with the Pentagon claiming both were able to land safely, while the Iraqi government's Interior Ministry, which isn't always reliable, claiming one helicopter has been downed.

In other news, more Iraqi citizens and American soldiers have lost their lives to a variety of violence in the capital city of Baghdad and other areas of the war torn nation.
