FOX's THE OT Lifts THE SIMPSONS

FOX's postNFL game show, THE OT, is paying big ratings dividends for the network. Not only was the show the 11th highest rated network TV show last week with 12.0 million viewers, but it helped to spur THE SIMPSONS to it's highest rating numbers in years at 9.4 million viewers. The spillover also lifted THE CLEVELAND SHOW to 7.4 million viewers, FAMILY GUY to 6.5 million viewers and AMERICAN DAD to 6.1 million viewers, proving either that football fans like these cartoon comedy shows or are perhaps too lazy to change the channel when filled up with leftover turkey from Thanksgiving, or maybe a little of both. Regardless. FOX is more than happy to take these good results during November sweeps period and cash in with higher advertising rates.
