Bob Dylan Banned In China

Chinese authorities decided that the rebellious lyrics of Bob Dylan might just be more than the Communist regime can tolerate, and banned a concert tour by the legendary singer/songwriter. Dylan considered a tour through China to be the jewel of his latest Asian tour. The singer's promotion company promptly canceled the rest of his Asian tour schedule in response to the actions of the Chinese authorities. The regime has been in power since the 1949 revolution in the huge nation and still practices heavy political censorship of opposition politics.

During a 2008 Shanghai concert performance, Bjork reportedly shouted "Tibet, Tibet", causing Chinese authorities much anger and making the booking of Western concerts in the Communist land more difficult.

If like the old Bob Dylan song, "The Times Are A Changin'" claims, then this change is happening elsewhere and not so much in China where even the Google search engine recently had to give up on the nation because of political censorship problems with the regime.

If things don't work out for the legendary singer, then maybe becoming a Vincent Price impersonator might be in order.
